Tunstall Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Market have been in the industry for over 30 years. First established in 1987 by founder Armando Iezzi, who left his small town in Italy and arrived to Australia with ambitions of opening up a small fruit shop. The shop opening marked a significant beginning for the local Maninngham community, as it quickly grew into one of the most popular meeting places and shopping destinations amongst the locals. Armando dedicated many years of hard-work and commitment to servicing the community with top quality produce, and ensured it was both accessible and affordable for all.
Tunstall Fresh was later bought by the El-Moustafa family in 2004 who had envisioned even greater success and growth of the business, and were determined to reach new heights. The father, Sam El-Moustafa, always had a strong passion for fruit and veg, having started out as a small organic grower of cucumber, beans and tomatoes on his property in Mickleham. He jumped at the opportunity to buy Tunstall Fresh, and the family became instant ‘locals’. These days his children Mohammed, Samya and Nadia manage the business while still leaning on the wisdom of their father, and past owner Armando. Family is a big focus at Tunstall Fresh and this shines through in their day-to-day lives.
Behind the scenes is one of the most intricate parts of the business; the daily trip to the market. An early rise is necessary and the buying, packing and delivery has no margin for error; timing is everything.
Today, Tunstall Fresh has expanded from a humble store to provedoring for local restaurants and cafés. With over two decades of outstanding service, it remains the trusted choice for high quality produce and phenomenal customer experience.
